Announcing Guided Energy's EV fleet performance toolkit

We launched Guided Energy to make it easier and cheaper to operate a fleet of electric vehicles. Today, fleets use the Guided Energy platform to streamline real-time EV operations from dispatch to charging to expense management. However, many are struggling with the new variables of electrification - whether it is to understand range, charge time, driver performance, battery health or more. Navigating these new dynamics wrong leads to fewer jobs per day, higher operating costs, unnecessary CAPEX and countless hours wasted. This is why we are launching our new fleet performance toolkit - so that you can measure how EVs perform for your operations and learn what you can do about it.

Using this data, we help fleets understand the real performance across their EV fleet and answer questions like:

Your range, not the OEM’s

Every electric fleet operator knows that the OEM range is just a starting point and not the complete picture. What fleets need is performance data specific to their routes, their loads, their drivers and even their weather.

At Guided, we create real-time range forecasts using millions of historical data points and through advanced range analytics of your upcoming routes, accounting for terrain or weather. The range calculated for each vehicle is based on the reality of your operations, the types of roads the vehicles are driven on and more.

Track and improve EV Utilisation

When deploying EVs, fleets often worry about operational uptime - specifically can they keep their EVs on the road for as long as their diesel fleet. We’ve made the first EV centric dashboard to track and measure real utilisation.

It’s not the EV, it’s you

Driving an EV is nothing like driving it’s polluting counterparts. Driving it like one is a sure way to complete fewer jobs, fail more routes and spend more on your charging bill.

Unfortunately, it can be difficult to identify the reasons behind poor EV performance. Our driver behaviour dashboard makes it easier to identify the lowest range drivers/routes and gives you metrics to understand the reasons behind it.

It’s not the way it used to be

Different EVs degrade at different rates. The battery health can be affected by usage, fast charging, OEM and mileage. Keeping track of which EVs have suffered the most degradation is important in planning future routes. Furthermore, being proactive can help reduce battery degradation.
